The Catalyst Fund was created by a group of faculty committed to advancing the goals of equity and inclusion at Drake University.
This is a restricted, non-endowed scholarship and emergency fund for students at Drake and is awarded to students who demonstrate financial need and are part of a historically and/or currently underrepresented group (such as domestic students of color, undocumented immigrants, refugees, and first-generation college students). Since its inception in 2016, this fund has provided needed scholarship and emergency funds for more than a dozen students from underrepresented groups.
