Flight is a first-year cohort program that focuses on the experiences of students of color at Drake University. Flight facilitates success and helps students “take off” on their Drake journey.
Through the program students acclimate to Drake University while also gaining knowledge of the resources available to them. The Flight program focuses on three areas of connection- fellow flight students, Drake offices, faculty, and staff, the Des Moines community.
The program begins in the summer and continues with first-year programming, a living/learning community in the residence halls, and the participants taking their first year seminar together.
Participation in the Flight program is free of charge. Your gift to the Flight program during All In directly supports students of color at Drake and contributes to the exploration of diversity and equality within the student experience.
