At Drake’s School of Education (SOE), more than 1,000 undergraduate and graduate students learn to ground themselves and their futures in the guiding principles of academic reflection, collaborative learning, and social justice. Recently, the SOE has dedicated itself to diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts, by reworking the Introduction to Education curriculum and launching an equity audit within the counseling program. The SOE also continues to deepen partnerships with neighborhood schools and build relationships in rural communities. In rural, suburban, and urban school environments, students see their coursework come alive through practical teaching experience.
The SOE is a diverse community of collaborative learners dedicated to the preparation, licensure, advancement, and continuing education of teachers, counselors, school administrators, human resource development professionals, and other educational leaders of learning communities.
Your support for SOE is a catalyst for an engaging education that will impact the lives of generations of students.
